June 13th Paintball Update!
Your Area Team has been working hard and has managed to organise a Paintball event that will cost only £10 per Tabler/Guest (Area will subsides the rest)!
That includes a burger or a Jacket Potato!
Invites are coming around to the Table Chairman in the Area and details are on the Area Events page.
Come and shoot the Area Chairman for only £10!

Going back a “few” weeks! Saw the Founders Area bowling night. This is always a great night for fellowship and some tolerance from whichever team I play for. Luckily this year David Tester from Dereham Table scoured a couple less than I did and was duly awarded a bottle of blackcurrant squash!
The winners can be seen on the sporting prowess page, which does not show how close it actually was.
Excellent night. Thank you to all those who came.
Area Quiz
Excellent night – Norwich 1 first team has just edged ahead in the 8th round. Two rounds left – who is going to win!
2012
Remaining meetings for this year finalised. Quiz night and the old Ten Pin faithful!
Please see the Area events page for details?
Look forward to seeing you there

Golf with a Difference

The 25th October saw the next Area 6 sports event. Saw is probably not the correct term though. Hunstanton & District 615 organised one of the strangest events I have ever attended – Night Golf!
As it can be demonstrated through the photos it was dark (my Gran has a term for how dark it was but I am afraid that it is not very PC!)
I am surprised that no one had an accident/broke a leg/got hit by a club. I am even more surprised that it was the first game of golf during which I did not lose my golf ball playing.
The results of the night can be seen on the Sporting Prowess page. I am surprised that Hunstanton have won yet another event, as it took Buster in excess of 10 shots to get off the tee on a number of holes (I did say it was dark!).
Big thanks to Hunstanton for organising such a unique event!
Ladies Circle Black & White Ball

Back on the 24th September I “treated” my wife for our wedding anniversary to the Ladies Circle 75th Ball in Birmingham.
It turned out to be an excellent treat as the event was fantastic. Vicky and her team really pulled out all the stops.
I Love Ladies Circle!
Area AGM 2011
The AGM started off well, by the time the food was served it looked as if the evening would be complete in time for last orders!
After the meal the Executive (all that remained) gave their reports. The Secretary was short and uplifting (his report was not!); the Treasurers (although not present to report in person) was well received and was delivered without fault or challenge; the Memberships report was fantastic ly long and drawn out, it highlighted the 2008 membership survey (at great length) and provided some advice; Sports report highlighted the great support and attendance by Tables at this years activities (please see Sporting Prowess); International was raced through.
The reports had shown that you can never guess what time you will be home after an AGM!
The Area Executive were elected (please refer to Area Executive 2011/12)
Stephen McGrath (Chairman 2010/11) gave his report and wished Spencer Burrell all the best for his year. He highlighted that ”it is fortunate as I do not have a train to catch tonight”!
During the meeting we had the pleasure of an interruption from the Dereham & District Ladies Circle. As these fine Ladies entered the room the Vice Chairman thought that someone had organised some strippers but when he saw their graceful stature he was glad they had not come to Strip!
I look forward to my year and thank you to the Dereham Girls!
