Excellent night – Norwich 1 first team has just edged ahead in the 8th round. Two rounds left – who is going to win!

A few Thursday ago I was joined in at The Stuart House Hotel, Kings Lynn by our Membership officer Andrew Kerry to attend Kings Lynn Vancouver’s Business meeting. Other than the lack of food the evening turned out to be one of the highlights of my year so far.
The guys in this table have worked hard over the preceding months and have attracted only what I could call a flange of typical Tablers into their group.
The quintet who were inducted during the evening provided interesting and varied renditions of My Heart Will Go On (a bit too much if you ask me), Never Going to Give You Up (subs up front please), Wannabe (I’d rather not), I Think We’re Alone Now (nope the reception is full of the laughing public), Baby One More Time (if you insist).
It was a great night and an honour to be part of it. Good Luck and Happy Tabling to Steve, Paul, Richard, Matt and Cliff (Clive).

Remaining meetings for this year finalised. Quiz night and the old Ten Pin faithful!
Please see the Area events page for details?
Look forward to seeing you there

Last night saw the 38th Charter Night for Norwich Castle 1101. It was held at the City Club in Norwich and was well attended.
I do not know how I am keeping such a svelte like figure this year as the food was excellent and the drink flowed. Patrick Cutter (Chairman) had not made too much effort in organising an interesting speaker – his slightly older twin brother. Philip Cutter though was very amusing; I do feel sorry for their Dad!
The night saw a very special presentation of a Diamond pin badge. In the photographs above you can just about make out Andrew Kerry (Area Membership Officer) awarding David Barnes this special badge for introducing 10 new members into Table. What a fantastic achievement.
I must apologise to Patrick, I could not resist but your Netball Runners up Trophy looks good on my Study shelf! Look forward to seeing you at the next Area event in February to return it!

What a fantastic night! The food was good, the company was good, the music was….excellent and the drink flowed. The crowd from Dereham really enjoyed themselves.
Well done to Roger and “Dennis” for organising such an enjoyable event! You can see from the photos (thanks to all who took photos and put them on Facebook for me to lift!) that everybody had a good time

The 25th October saw the next Area 6 sports event. Saw is probably not the correct term though. Hunstanton & District 615 organised one of the strangest events I have ever attended – Night Golf!
As it can be demonstrated through the photos it was dark (my Gran has a term for how dark it was but I am afraid that it is not very PC!)
I am surprised that no one had an accident/broke a leg/got hit by a club. I am even more surprised that it was the first game of golf during which I did not lose my golf ball playing.
The results of the night can be seen on the Sporting Prowess page. I am surprised that Hunstanton have won yet another event, as it took Buster in excess of 10 shots to get off the tee on a number of holes (I did say it was dark!).
Big thanks to Hunstanton for organising such a unique event!
